It had been a long time since Maroon 5 (M5) had gone off the spotlights, well constantly seeing Adam Levine(lead singer) hopping around with Kanye West, Alicia Keys... and luckily this a follow-up 2nd studio album had not been carried away with the elements of RnB but instead flowing with flow of pop current. However, still manage to holds up to their very own blend of pop-rock senses.
The very first moment to hear "Makes Me Wonder", instantly give me a feeling of the old M5 had carries the same old tune but with a modern and classy disco-costume and wouldn't be a "one hit wonder" after such a loud debut. (As well, their are all dressed in branded with this comeback, which this is what the debut album creates them to be... richer lots.) Still able to bewitched the old supporters and new fans, as this 1st single from the album had been hitting right head to head with Rihanna's Umbrella, to the chart top,(US billboard & UK).
Familiar sounds from his cameo in Kany West's "Head Em Say", Adam Levine took back the tune for his "Nothing Last Forever", "Won't Go Home Without You" a potential single, resemble The Police's "Every Breath You Take", and yet still wonderfully written. Songs like "Wait Up Call", "Can't Stop", "GoodNight GoodNight", and the catchy "Little Of Your Time" are also the highlights of the album.
"If I never See Your Face Again", a very good opening track. Uplifting and catchy choruses would hook you up to follow the album to the last track. This album would definitely place Maroon 5 on the music history map, following up to be the next U2 or The Police. Believe it or not, tracks like this can hunt the radio for months, as they did with their "Songs About Jane".
